"Strengthening Resilience" – A successful start to 2016 at the BEGO International Sales Symposium

At the end of January, the Bremen-based dental specialists BEGO invited guests to the 52nd BEGO International Sales Symposium (BISS) in Bremen, Germany. Around 90 trade partners from 33 countries accepted the invitation from the long-standing family company. Interesting talks relating to the motto of this year's event "Strengthening Resilience", exchanges on the latest issues in the dental world and product trainings were at the heart of this two-day trader get-together.

Following the opening address by the Managing Partner of the BEGO Group, Christoph Weiss, and a speech welcoming the international guests by Jürgen Schultze, Head of International Sales at BEGO Bremer Goldschlägerei, a lecture was held by Folker Hellmeyer. Hellmeyer is a chief economist and analyst at Bremer Landesbank, and spoke about the "Status of Crisis and Economy – a Glance into Markets". Talks focusing on the company's ideal positioning for the future, workshops on various issues in dentistry and presentations of new products from BEGO then followed. Dr. Andrea Claussen, Doctor of Medicine, executive coach and coach at leadership choices GmbH, concluded the first day with her lecture "How to Strengthen Your Resilience". Guests then had the opportunity to take part in a night watchman tour through Bremen's historic old town.

The second day got under way with a talk by Prof. Dr. Armin Trost, Professor of Human Resources at Furtwangen University, on "The Talent Challenge". As in past years, the presentation in the afternoon of the Wilhelm Herbst Awards for outstanding marketing and sales achievements for BEGO products was eagerly awaited. The BEGO trade partners Denon Dental Sp. z o.o., Bra-Š d.o.o. and Arseus N.V. all received one of the awards. The awards presentation was followed by further trade partners presenting market research and success stories from their respective markets. Master Dental Technician Henning Wulfes, long-standing Head of the BEGO TRAINING CENTER, brought the conference to a close with an overview of "Quo Vadis Dentistry". The event, which this year was held in the ATLANTIC Grand Hotel in Bremen, was concluded in the usual fashion with the farewell dinner.
