In addition to the current anti-corona activities that the dental specialist from Bremen launched at the end of March, BEGO has recently also started to produce disinfectants for its own use based on approved formulas from the World Health Organization (WHO). The neighborhood in the Technology Park University Bremen also benefits from this for their professional use. The response was huge. Around 250 bottles (500 ml each) of the hand and surface disinfectant based on propanol were distributed to interested companies from the BEGO neighborhood at a low price.
But that's not all. In the next step, BEGO is planning to produce an ethanol-based disinfectant in order to continue to supply itself, and to offer it as a BEGO product (1-liter bottles) from the end of April probably.
In addition to the production of disinfectants, the BEGO commitment in the fight against COVID-19 also includes a CAD/CAM manufacturing service for the production of components, which are urgently needed by hospitals and other medical facilities due to the corona pandemic – upon request and free of charge.
Furthermore, 3D printed protective glasses are being produced and donated to the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Dentists (KZV) until Easter, which distributes them to hospitals and medical practices.
Last but not least, BEGO users can download free design files for do-it-yourself 3D printing of useful utensils (e.g. breathing mask frames) from the BEGO website.
