BEGO Introduces New Secondary Structures from Hybrid Production

As for now, the dental company from Bremen offers hybrid-produced secondary structures with the advantages of SLM and milling technology.

As a traditional family business with 129 years of dental expertise and a pioneer of CAD/CAM technology, which co-invented the Selective Laser Melting (SLM) around 20 years ago and patented it for the dental sector, BEGO is constantly developing its digital production processes and indications.

BEGO customers can now acquire double crowns and secondary bar constructions made from hybrid production. The advantages of the SLM method (free-form design) and of the milling technique (precision fitting) are ideally combined. Any desired design, including various retentions and supporting elements, can be manufactured without restrictions in the external geometry. A minimal follow-up work of the milled inside surfaces is necessary, allowing an exact fit of the secondary structures. Upon request, friction elements can also be included for individual adaptation of the pull-off forces upon request.
