Reunion at the BEGO International Sales Symposium 2022 under the motto "SYNERGIZING PARTNERSHIPS"

Under the motto "SYNERGIZING PARTNERSHIPS", the Bremen-based dental specialist BEGO invited its international trade partners to the 57th BEGO International Sales Symposium (BISS) in the Hanseatic city of Bremen from May 10-11, 2022.

Christoph Weiss, Managing Partner of the BEGO Group, opened this year's dealer conference and welcomed around 80 guests from 23 different countries. Andreas Harbauer and Hendrik Eichner, both Director International Sales at BEGO, also welcomed the participants and clarified this year's event motto "Synergizing Partnerships": "It should inspire us and show us how important a good partnership, trust and mutual understanding are. Good collaboration overcomes many challenges and nurtures and strengthens relationships."

Guest speaker Dr Ingo Baresel, dentist as well as co-founder and president of the "German Society for Digital Oral Impression Taking (DGDOA)" presented the international sales partners with his lecture an up-to-date overview of the versatile application possibilities of intraoral scanners and the continuous further development of this digital technology.

Torsten Bahr, Senior Product Manager Digital Platforms at BEGO, then gave the audience an insight into the many options of digital workflows from implant planning to 3D printing and centralized CAD/CAM production. He also highlighted guided surgery as the key to success and explained helpfully and precisely how to implement a suitable workflow for this in the collaboration between the dental practice and dental laboratory. The final presentation of the first day of the congress by Arturo Calvo, Director of Prótesis S.A., Spain, provided participants with a holistic and practical view of digital transformation in the dental laboratory.

The first day of the event ended with a relaxed get-together at the venue, the ATLANTIC Hotel Universum, where guests and BEGO employees concluded the day in an evening get-together.

The second day started with an exciting market report from a dental service organization from Croatia. Nataša Rubeša, CFO & Partner at Policlinika Rident and Dorotea Brali?, Corporate Communications Manager at Policlinika Rident, gave a vivid presentation of the company's concept and successes. Afterwards, Marius Kempf, Senior Product Manager 3D Printing at BEGO and MDT Claus Pukropp, Senior Product Manager CAD/CAM at BEGO, highlighted how CAD/CAM and 3D printing can be used to increase implant sales and attract new customer groups. Together with DT Jörg Fasel, Senior Product Manager Conventional Workflow & Alloys, they then gave an outlook on the future of digital dentures. In the following lecture, Dr Elisabeth Prause, dentist at the Charité Berlin, presented the improved access for patients to prosthetic dental restorations with the help of new possibilities in the field of 3D printing. Sarah McCarvill, Director Product Management at BEGO, then gave a pointed summary of the findings on digital workflows presented on both BISS days.

This was followed by the presentation of the coveted Wilhelm-Herbst-Awards for outstanding collaboration in line with the event motto "Synergizing Partnerships". This year, these were awarded to the the Poliklinika Rident from Croatia and the trade partner Sociedad Comercial Bortech SpA from Chile.

The farewell barbecue in the nearby restaurant "Haus am Walde" offered the participants the opportunity to celebrate the long-awaited reunion in pleasant temperatures and to look forward to the next BISS.
