New packaging – digital Instructions for Use at BEGO Implant Systems

Bye-bye, paper – hello, tree!

As of April 2020 our products will be manufactured without printed Instructions for Use (IFUs). The link "ifu.bego.com" printed on all product labels will indicate where a digital instead of a printed version of the Instructions for Use can be found.

This change will be accompanied by a new layout for our packaging: our new yellow boxes will only have the digital IFUs and – for a transitional period – our traditional white-grey boxes will also contain the printed IFUs.

You can easily find, read, save or print all IFUs in our user-friendly portal "ifu.bego.com". All you need to search our IFU archive is the article and batch number; the archive is available to you around the clock. This procedure will save you and us a hefty 16 tons of paper in the form of printed documents every year. By reducing the amount of paper we consume, both you and BEGO Implant Systems will be contributing to environmental protection.

Good to know: since 1st March 2013, the law permits manufacturers to provide the IFUs for medical devices exclusively in digital form. The basis for this is Commission Regulation (EU) No 207/2012 of 9 March 2012, but if you still require printed IFUs, we will be happy to send them to you free of charge within seven calendar days.
