The BEGO International Sales Symposium 2019 under the motto "NEW WORK – NEW WAYS"

From January 29th to 30th, 2019, BEGO, the dental specialist from Bremen, invited its international trading partners to the 55th BEGO International Sales Symposium (BISS) in the hanseatic city of Bremen under the motto "NEW WORK – NEW WAYS".

Christoph Weiss, the Managing Partner of the BEGO Group, opened this year's dealer conference and welcomed about 70 guests from 25 different countries. Jürgen Schultze, Head of International Sales at BEGO Bremer Goldschlägerei and BEGO Medical, also welcomed the participants and commented on this year's motto, "NEW WORK – NEW WAYS". "Agility, Design Thinking, Scrum – these are only a few of the terms that we encounter in the context of “new work”. What is behind it? And how will digital technologies change the way we work in the future? Will artificial intelligence become our new colleague? Our guest speakers will bring the details closer to us. From theory to practical implementation, we will take a look further into the future,” Schultze said.

Guest speaker Andrea Kuhfuß, Management Consultant at Kurswechsel, introduced the international sales partners to the world of the "new work". Among other things, she made it clear that cooperative interaction in cross-functional teams and constant learning in times of digital transformation are essential and that a high degree of flexibility and curiosity are important in order to remain competitive. Based on various concrete examples, she also gave a comprehensive overview of agility-promoting methods and mindsets.

Christian Diestelkamp, Senior Consultant and Member of the Abat Management Team, subsequently provided the participants with a practical insight into a "Happy Workplace" and ways to design it, in order to promote an open communication, feedback and an innovation culture to increase the satisfaction of employees and customers.

This lecture was followed by reports from international trade partners before the participants reviewed the first day of the BISS in a relaxed atmosphere during a joint dinner at the "Ständige Vertretung".

On the second day, Lucia Mendelova, Lead Designer Augmented and Virtual Reality, and Malte Wellmann, Head of Augmented and Virtual Reality – both from HEC., dove into the world of Augmented and Virtual Reality along with the participants. They explained the special features and applications of the latest technologies and offered the participants the opportunity to try them out on the spot.
During the following presentation, the BEGO experts revealed which new products BEGO will be presenting at the IDS. Many exciting innovations in the fields of conventional and digital dental technology as well as in the field of implantology solutions await visitors at the world's leading trade fair for the dental branch in Cologne. The absolute highlight will be the presentation of the new BEGO Varseo 3D printer family, which was "unveiled" for the first time during the BISS. In addition to the new devices, the expanded material and indication spectrum was the topic of the following workshop, focusing on the once again expanded BEGO 3D printing portfolio. At the same time, interested guests were invited to attend the workshop entitled "BEGO through the Eyes of an Implantologist – Changing the Rules of the Game of Sales", held by Dr. Andreas Barbetseas, ImmediaTeam International Association. In the afternoon, Dr. Parsis Dastani, expert in predictive analytics and CEO of Dastani Consulting, explained the opportunities for predictive analytics and artificial intelligence in order to increase marketing and sales performance.

The ceremony of the traditional Wilhelm-Herbst-Awards for outstanding marketing and sales performances for BEGO products in 2018 was also eagerly awaited. These were handed to the trading partners Blue Laser Lines SRL from Romania, i-Cast from Japan and Aven Dental AE from Greece.

The rustic farewell dinner in the "Almhütte" of the ATLANTIC Grand Hotel in Bremen rounded off the second day of the event.

The following day, all interested participants could take a look behind the scenes and visit in particular the BEGO CAD/CAM production center, the Surface Technology Center and the BEGO TRAINING CENTER.
