In addition to the existing material portfolio for the decentralized, laboratory-based 3D printing of dental restorations, BEGO now offers 3D printed permanent single crowns, inlays, onlays and veneers made of VarseoSmile Crown plus in 7 VITA classical colors (A1, A2, A3, B1, B3, C2, D3) manufactured in BEGO's high-tech production center. This means that even laboratories that do not yet have a 3D printer themselves can offer their dental customers the world's first 3D printing system from BEGO.
The tooth-colored, ceramic-filled hybrid material VarseoSmile Crown plus is approved for the permanent use of single-tooth restorations and satisfies all the requirements for a Class IIa medical device according to the EC Directive "Medical Devices" 93/42/EEC.
The printed restorations made of VarseoSmile Crown plus are characterized by, among other things, excellent esthetics, low tendency to age and discoloration, and high wearing comfort for the patient. A high level of bonding of the material with luting composites prevents decementation and thus the possible formation of secondary caries. High values of flexural strength and modulus of elasticity ensure high dimensional stability and strength of the printed objects and thus a precise fit.
The 3D printed VarseoSmile Crown plus restorations produced in the BEGO CAD/CAM production center are shipped to customers in a post-cured, unpolished condition. They are free of support structures and ready for lab finishing. The restorations are very easy to grind and polish when using standard tools. Information on processing the material can be taken from the specially prepared processing instructions.
The 3D printed restorations are available from BEGO Medical via the usual ordering channels. If desired, BEGO can also take over the scanning and/or design of the restorations. In the case of data transmission (with incoming orders to 2 p.m.), the desired restoration is delivered to the laboratory within two working days.
