Ahoy! The BEGO International Youth Boat casts off in Cologne

The guests of this year’s BEGO International Youth Boat enjoyed a week with numerous attractive activities according to the motto “Full speed ahead!”.

During the IDS week from the 09th of March until the 14th of March, the BEGO ship docked onto the banks of the Rhine with an exciting program for the young people from the dental branch. The city tours through Cologne by night allowed the guests of the BEGO International Youth Boat to experience the traditional “kölsch“ life. During the historical brewery tours the future dental technicians and dentists went on a journey through the history of breweries and revealed the secrets of the local brewing art.

The relaxed dinner talk at the lounge of the “MS Rembrandt van Rijn” with Christoph Weiss, managing partner of BEGO, complemented the varied evening program.

Additionally, all interested parties were invited to join the exclusive booth talk about 3D printing with Prof. Dr. Constantin von See from the Danube Private University (Krems, Austria). Prof. Dr. von See investigated the special Varseo resins as part of the development of the BEGO 3D printer Varseo for dental applications, which has been presented at the IDS 2015.

For all those who wanted to learn more about the diverse portfolio of BEGO, there was an opportunity to join one of the 30 minutes booth tours, where BEGO specialists gave exclusive insights in the current portfolio and informed all participants about the new BEGO product highlights.

Next to the framework program, the young people from the dental branch had the opportunity to use a coupon booklet, which offered a flexible and individual exploration of Cologne such as free entrance to the Cologne Cathedral and the Chocolate Museum.

To retain the memorable experience on the BEGO International Youth Boat, the guests intensively used the selfie booth on the boat. Some impressions of the IDS 2015 can be found under www.bego.com and on the facebook page of the BEGO International Youth Boat.
