CAD/CAM solutions from BEGO now also available to exocad users

Since 08.09.2014, BEGO Medical provides a service allowing custom-fabricated prosthetic solutions to be ordered via exocad software.

BEGO works closely with the software supplier to enable exocad users to design their own prosthetic restorations in the laboratory and then send the data to BEGO's high-tech production centre in Bremen. Thus they can take advantage of BEGO Medical's extensive fabrication facilities and wide range of materials.

In the past, the BEGO CAD/CAM world was only open to 3Shape users. But now laboratories with exocad software can also benefit from an expanded product range in the field of CAD/CAM prosthetics plus reproducible high quality. Fabrication at the high-tech BEGO production centre allows customers to choose the material and fabrication method that best suit their requirements.

This expansion means that exocad users can now access the BEGO range of crowns and bridges, one-piece abutments and implant-borne bridge and bar restorations for the interfaces from BEGO. The requirement for sending STL data is exocad version 1.0.4903 of June 2013 or higher. In addition, a material file from BEGO must be installed. Please contact the BEGO User Support for assistance with this.
