Now available – 3Shape Update 2016

The new software version of the 3Shape Dental Designer 16.01 is now available for download. The focus of development was the stabilization of all functions and workflows.

This update of the latest version of the 3Shape Dental System offers you numerous improvements. Thanks to optimized processes of the scanning software, no waiting time between order creation and starting the scan is required anymore. The ultra-fast movement between individual design steps as well as an even faster margin line detection contribute to the time saving in the workflow. These and many other new features in Dental System 2016 are clearly summarized for you in the downloadable brochure "What's new in 3Shape's Dental System 2016".

To download the latest 3Shape software, it is necessary to go into the 3Shape Control Panel and to perform an update in the area Dongle Management.

There are important PC system requirements to install the 3Shape version 2016 that need to be considered and can be found in the following chart.

* Minimum requirement for the Implant Studio is Windows 7 64-bit with 1GB DirectX 10 video card. 2GB DirectX 11 video card is recommended.
** For simultaneous scanning and modelling of large cases, we recommend 16GB RAM.
*** We recommend 1TB Hard Drive if used as a stand-alone system or a server with the order folder.
**** D250 scanners require serial port. For D250 scanners, 3Shape supports only PCs purchased from 3Shape as very few PCs are compatible.

Please note that windows 10 is not fully compatible with the 3Shape system. Compatible systems for windows 10 are scanner of the series D710 and higher. Systems with the scanner types D640 and D700 and the serial number C0915xxx are not compatible.
