BEGO expands ceramic portfolio with BEGO Zirkon ST Multi

  BEGO – News

In addition to the existing crown and bridge material BEGO Zirkon ST, BEGO now offers CAD/CAM restorations made of BEGO Zirkon ST Multi in 16 VITA* classical shades with colour gradient.

BEGO Zirkon ST Multi is an all-rounder made of biocompatible high-performance zirconium, with high translucency and high strength. The material is suitable for a wide range of indications from single crowns and duo abutments to large-span bridges – whether screwed or cemented.

The material complies with class 5 according to ISO 6872:2019 and is available in all 16 VITA classical shades. The innovative filling strategy of the ceramic ensures a stepless colour gradient in combination with a homogeneous microstructure.

Restorations made of BEGO Zirkon ST Multi can be used monolithically or veneered. Compared to the veneer-free variant, an even more individual design of the restoration can be achieved with a corresponding veneer ceramic (analogue to BEGO Zirkon ST). Alternatively, the framework can also be pressed over with zirconium press ceramic.

In order to adapt the colour gradient to the individual design of the restoration, it is possible to position the restoration interactively in the milling blank in the exocad* or 3Shape* software already during the design process (In-CAD Nesting*). If no such individual placement is carried out in the laboratory before sending the data file to BEGO, standard placement will be carried out as previously practiced for restorations made of KATANA Zirconia STML/UTML. Individual positioning of the data sets in the exocad software requires the add-on modules In-CAD Nesting and TruSmile*. For individual positioning in the 3Shape software, no additional module is required, but an activation of the corresponding function by the colleagues from the BEGO Medical Customer Service Team (hotline) is necessary. The activation of the individual positioning in the 3Shape software will be possible from October 2020.

The experts on the BEGO hotline are available to answer your questions on +49 421 2028-200 and will provide you with the new material file as usual. If you have any questions, you may also contact your responsible Area Sales Manager.
